Inspection marks

Four small boxes carry a lot of meaning.

When TREC output is enabled, the writer exposes the required item-level marks. An item can carry more than one applicable mark, and an active deficiency automatically carries the D state into the generated report.

IINSPECTED

Work performed

The item was inspected and its report content belongs in the TREC output.

NINOT INSPECTED

Not evaluated

The item was present within the form structure but was not inspected.

NPNOT PRESENT

Not at the property

The item or component was not present for this inspection.

DDEFICIENT

A deficiency exists

Active deficiency content checks D automatically and appears in the item comments.

Revision-aware by design

A new form should not silently rewrite an old report.

Templates select a supported form revision. When a TREC report is published, that revision is pinned to the report so a later form release cannot change how completed work renders.
